Uses

Gla-Zit adds a lot of value and lasts the life of the concrete

Solutions

  1. Ready-Mix: Use twenty-four (24) ounces per cubic yard. Earlier troweling will be necessary due to faster setting. For best results Gla-Zit needs to be added last to the batch mix. Cure concrete with water or burlap and water.
  2. Painting: Use eight (8) parts of water to one (1) part of Gla-Zit. Use this solution for mixing cement alone. To seal basement walls, pits, etc., stir a pure grade of Portland Cement (No Sand) into the solution until the ingredients become a cream-like substance, then paint on with whitewash or other suitable type brush. Be sure to clean and wet surface thoroughly before applying and where there is oil or grease, use a strong detergent or grease remover to clean. If mixture of ingredients become too thick to apply, add solution. Clean and wash brushes immediately after application. Do not wash them out in sewer drains, etc. Solution has unlimited shelf life.
  3. Mortar: Use twelve (12) parts of water to one (1) part of Gla-Zit. Use this solution with mortar mix, masonry ready-mix concrete patch, anything concrete based material. Solution has unlimited shelf life.
  1. Absorbtion tests
  2. Freeze thaw of regular concrete reduced spalling by 2 freeze thaw cycles and air-entrained concrete doubled the number of freeze thaw cycles before spalling occured.
  3. Thermal shock, attack by steam and thermal shock showed no effect.
  4. Compression tests, 9% more compression strength at 28 days of cure.
  5. Waterproofing capabilities, semi-submerged the water absorption is reduced by 37% and fully submerged water absorption is reduced by 20%.
  6. Acid Resistance
  7. Cold weather grout test
  8. Hot weather setting time
